We need to start jotting down what this site will contain
I will get us going:
- Committee stuff
- Minutes
- Actions for each week
- Eg Photosoc Site work list
- Member stuff
- Information on darkrooms
- Articles about darkroomy stuff
- Information on Penthouse
- Software articles, eg photoshop, aperture, etc
- Information on darkrooms
Proposed Wiki home page layout:
2 columns
- First column
- A box at top with some general info about the society etc. or at least just a little welcome note
- A box for info on specific events or trips
- Second column ( all the How-tos )
- Tutorials for software
- Tutorials for darkroom ?
- Tutorials for equipment
at bottom link for admins to closed admin section
Sounds pretty good, am noding as I go along, will publish darkroom worksop info, kit lists etc if I get the time..

AS - how about simplifying the wiki layout to remove the toolbox and only have relevant links on the side like:
- minutes
- notes
- tutorials
- tips
etc?

RJP - I will be adding the minutes from now and keeping that section up to date along with other "admin" type stuff. Personally I think that the Action Points bit should be omitted and the individuals concerned contacted directly. What do others think? Having said this, I'm happy to upload & maintain this bit if people feel it is necessary.
Can I suggest/get feedback on the idea of changing the name of Tutorials to "The Knowledgabase" or similar so that we can easily incorporate Guides, Technical Explanations, Company Profiles and even product reviews/recommendations etc all in one area. I just see it as having the potential to be a vast resource area for many members and wouldn't want to limit it to simply How To's and Walkthroughs (although obv these would be very useful as well!)
I also plan to add information on Photosoc's facilities by the end of September '08 but hope to get it up sooner (end of July?). Perhaps someonelse can work on articles and guides for these facilities.
Finally, I like the idea of having a box on the navigation panel that has info on current events & trips. Is this possible to implement?
