AGM & Social TONIGHT (with free food and drink!)

Hello everyone,
So it's that time of year again where we decide who will take the Photosoc reins next year!

We have booked the Anson Rooms bar for Wednesday 22nd April at 7.30pm- so once we have finished the AGM we'll be staying as we have the bar open all night! We'll be there setting up from 7pm.

WE WILL HAVE FREE PIZZA AT THE START AND LIMITED FREE DRINKS FROM THE BAR!

Any member can run for any position so don't be shy, nor do you have to be an expert in photography! We also need to make up quorum, so if you've enjoyed being involved this year, come along and vote to help us achieve the same for next year (and also make the minimum spend on the bar!).

The positions available are as follows:

- President
- VP/Secretary
- Treasurer
- Equipment Officer
- Talks Officer
- Socials Secretary
- Sponsorship Officer
- Darkrooms Officer
- Events Team Manager
- Competitions Officer
- Studio Manager
- Trips Officer
- Webmaster.

They're also hosts so feel free to drop them a message or email their photosoc email.

If you're interested in a position, do email Roshni at president@ubuphotosoc.com beforehand and on the evening you'll be asked to give a short speech as to why you'll fit the position.

Do get involved as it's such fun to be part of the running of the society, and doesn't take up too much time. Remember, you don't have to be an expert in photography to be on the committee. You make great new friends, help shape the society and learn so much ( also looks awesome on the CV!). So what you waiting for? We already know you'll be great!

PhotoSoc 2015 Photography Competition

It is with great pleasure that we announce the opening of our big annual competition for 2015!

This is an excellent opportunity for you to present your work under the many subject categories available, receive feedback and hopefully have it be part of our exhibition at the end of the year. We welcome entries from all skill levels and photographic backgrounds – creativity, originality and interpretation are just as important as technique. Producing original material for the competition is of course strongly encouraged!

Submissions are open until the 20th of April (details can be found below). Results and details regarding the exhibition will be announced nearer the end of Summer Term.
