1. Hello, and an Update
So this is my first newsletter as President of UBU Photosoc, and all I can say is that my committee and I all very excited and looking forward to bringing you the best Photosoc can offer for the year 2013-14. However, I’d first like to thank my predecessor Chesca and her committee for making Photosoc as awesome as it was this year – they have set the bar high, and we only hope we can measure up to their shining examples.
Also, thanks to all of you who came along to our Annual Exhibition. It was a great success and all your work looked wonderful, displayed in their full glory. Further congratulations to Hugo Hunt who won the grand prize!
In other news, with the new renovation of the Student’s Union building, we had to close our equipment booking a little earlier this year and so you are unable to take out any more equipment; we will keep it safe over the summer, and equipment booking will resume after Freshers Fair next year. This also means that our editing suite will be closed from the 17th May 2013, along with the darkrooms. However, we are currently organising a temporary space for our editing suite over the summer, but the darkrooms will remain out of use. Apologies for any inconvenience this may course.
Unfortunately, before we can all go and enjoy the summer, cameras in hand, we have to get through the horrid beast that is exam season! On behalf of Photosoc, we want to wish you all the best of luck in your exams and see you in September, if not before!
Exhibition Next Week!

We've confirmed details for our annual exhibition!
It will take place in the main foyer of the Students Union from the evening of Monday 29th April to Thursday 2nd May (NEXT WEEK!). There will be an opening ceremony on Monday evening at 6pm where the overall winner will receive the grand prize of £65 of Bristol Cameras vouchers.

Photosoc AGM! - W. G. Grace, Whiteladies Road - Thursday 21st March, 7.30pm
Just a reminder that the Photosoc AGM is tomorrow at 7.30pm, at the W. G. Grace on Whiteladies Road. There will be plenty of free food and drink available, as well as Photosoc freebies on offer!! This is your chance to give us your feedback and get more involved with the society, so come along and join us at our biggest event of the year.

this will be my very last weekly newsletter to you all - I'd like to thank you for reading them and putting up with my hopeless attempts to get the format right! This Thursday is our AGM at the W. G. Grace; it will be our last big event of the year and certainly the most important. If you enjoy being part of Photosoc and have attended any of our events this year then I really hope you decide to attend - it is vital that people like you come and show your support, give us feedback on how we are doing, and help keep the society going. There will be a wide range of committee positions up for grabs for anyone that's interested, so there's something to suit everyone, and it really is great fun helping to run the society.
